Calum Davenport
Works where I do.

Was he any good? Only really remember him for getting stabbed.

Re: Calum Davenport
He was great for us on loan in the Championship. Curbs then signed him to add to his pile of crap bought in that Great Escape transfer window (Lucas Neil apart to be fair) and he wasn’t the same player.

Top young Championship prospect didn’t equate to decent Premier League player in his case.

Very inconsistent IIRC. One day he'd look really classy, another day error-prone and out of his depth.

Interesting fact.

He was in the youth cup final for Coventry when we beat them 9-0 on aggregate.

Played a huge part in our 4-0 loss to Charlton in the Great Escape season

Had two spells with us iirc. First one half decent the second one mediocre.

I actually thought he was turning into a pretty classy defender under Zola (was it?) when everything went wrong for him. Oddly he's one of a few players I often wonder what they're up to now - and now I know!

That stabbing was one of the odd incidents that seem to happen more to West Ham than any other club.

Dunno, but it’s the LD on Peter Kay so I’ll ask him then.

After I’ve asked for your tickets tho.

Re: Calum Davenport
Does the LD refuse to work with him because of that incident or does he just dislike him for some reason?

Seemed to have an extraordinarily messy personal life.

Re: Calum Davenport
Not bumped into him yet as he’s on a George Ezra tour, one of the lead drivers (spurs fan) refuses to work with him and ignores the fact he was a Tottenham player.

I wouldn't ask him about his sister....

Far too lightweight for a centre back if I remember rightly.
